Technical Support Engineer
XP Software is currently looking for a Civil Engineer with strong water modelling experience to fill the role of Technical Support Engineer based in our Canberra Office.

Essential requirements for applicants of this position are:

  • Computer literate, with a strong knowledge of, interest in and aptitude for water modelling, using software such as xpswmm, xprafts, MOUSE, STORMCAD or similar.

  • Bachelor degree in civil engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in civil engineering design, specialising in water and wastewater.

  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Strong client focus and service orientation.

  • Ability to work as part of a small team.

  • Positive attitude and excellent time management skills.
Major tasks of the role include:
  • Client liaison and development.

  • Providing technical support / problem solving via telephone, internet and face-to-face.

  • Designing and presenting training programmes and product demonstrations.

  • Assisting sales staff with client marketing activities.

  • Identify product improvements and liaise with programmers for on-going product development.

  • Ability to travel widely within the region.


Sales Executive
XP Software, an international firm with offices in Portland USA, Canberra & Brisbane Australia and involved in the development, training and sales of water engineering software to a global market, requires the services of a highly motivated and energetic individual to slot into its growing sales team based in all offices.

The applicant will need to demonstrate their experiences in selling technical products to both private and government organizations. Technical software sales experience would be an advantage. The successful applicant would work as part of a team generating new business and servicing existing clients within the USA, Asia Pacific, Canada and Europe.

Duties will include the servicing of existing clients and the ability to generate new business.

Requirements:
  • good written and verbal communication skills

  • highly motivated individual

  • ability to work as part of a team

  • background and competence in computing and office software would be an advantage.
